Read About Batt Insulation
Batt insulation is very similar to the fiberglass insulation when you get a net and blow fiberglass insulation installation at your property. The main difference with batt insulation is that it comes in pre-cut sections of fiberglass or rock wool insulation, which makes it extremely easy to place in those hard-to-reach areas of your property.
At Ram Insulation, we use two different types of batt insulation in the walls of your residential or commercial building:
- Kraft-faced insulation
- Un-faced insulation
Kraft-Faced Batt Insulation
The kraft-faced insulation that we offer at Ram Insulation is made with a paper facing that is perfect for providing a vapor barrier. It is also easy to install, it is simply cut down and placed within your wall for a perfect friction-fit.
Having the extra layer of protection with the vapor barrier could prevent you from spending thousands of dollars in potential damages that moisture has caused to your property.
Un-faced Insulation
Unlike kraft-faced batt insulation, un-faced batt insulation does not have a paper facing and is simply a sheet of fiberglass insulation.
Un-faced insulation is good for properties that do not need a vapor barrier due to the potential of moisture coming into your property. You do have the option of having a vapor barrier installed in your walls along with the un-faced insulation to help you save money on the installation costs.
